-Weapon damage modified
-Deadly combat, with cover and protection from enemy line of sight critical
-Expensive support role weapons, from TA to armor and light artillery
-New unit types, including machine gun squads, scouts and specialist teams
-Adjusted squad sizes and composition

- Unlock The Achievement - Scavenger Hunt / Charity Event
- Posted by Cheesewiz on April 20th, 2008 @ 2:54 p.m.
- Since World in Conflict will soon storm onto the XBOX 360 Platform, World in Conflict Heaven is proud to announce that, along with Halo Wars Heaven, we will participating in one of the largest online scavenger hunts ever with the XBOX 360 Community!
It starts tomorrow, and anyone who wishes to register at UnlocktheAchievement.com can participate. The object is simple, just sign up, visit the participating sites (there's about 50), and look for the Game logos on pages throughout their (and our) sites! Some will be very easy to find, others extremely difficult. As millions of XBOX live gamers go out to find these images, the best will recieve over 100 prize packages! And trust me, those prize packages look pretty darn sweet.
Best of all, all of the proceeds and corperate donations from this will go to help deliver Care Packages and other gifts to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. This is particularly near and dear to me since I had a cousin there for 2 years with cancer. For that and many other reasons, HG is proud to help out with this cause!
I'm sure all of you 360 Gamers are looking forward to the hunt, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow, because the images won't be up until then!
Good luck to everyone involved, and thanks for participating in such an awesome cause!

- Footage from the Battlefield!
- Posted by General_II on April 13th, 2008 @ 8:05 p.m.

Last week, just before the reviews of Soviet Assault, a new video was released: Yulja.
Short thereafter, on April 10th, the official trailer for Soviet Assault was released.
Both show excellent footage of the World in Conflict in addition to some commentary which reviews the game's premise.
- Soviet Assault: a new war
- Posted by General_II on April 11th, 2008 @ 10:59 p.m.
- Gamespy, IGN, and TeamXbox recently previewed Soviet Assault, the version of World in Conflict for Xbox 360.
Some interesting revelations include the fact that Soviet Assault isn't an expansion- it's the Xbox360 version. Also of note is that voice commands are a part of the Xbox 360 Soviet Assault experience. Just say something like "send four anti-tank infantry" or "tankbuster" and the the jets will come flying in on your command.

A new point of view.
The IGN preview describes what Soviet Assault exactly is and that there will be new AIs that have been improved, using special abilities and possibly tactical aids.
Gamespy talks more of how the Xbox 360 controls play and how the interface works out. They note that multiplayer will be reduced from 8v8 to 5v5.
team xbox tells the compelling story of an omlet -not your ordinary omlet- and World in Conflict going Xbox 360. It runs through the new controls and tells of the voice-command potential.
You can check out the original Massgate post here.
